Engineering plastics manufacturers in Japan Polyplastics Malaysia, mainland China and Taiwan in the expansion.
This, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, the company announced that, currently located in Kuantan, the east coast of the Malay Peninsula, the construction of a annual capacity of 90,000 tons of Duracon acetal resin production plant. The plant is scheduled to be completed before October 2013, and put into operation in early 2014.
Polyplastics in the world built the four acetal resin production plant, located in Fuji City, Japan, Taiwan, Kaohsiung, Nantong, Jiangsu and Malaysia Kuantan. The new plant will be built to the company's annual acetal total output of up to 29 million tons.
The company also plans to further expand the composite production capacity, aimed at strengthening its position in the Chinese market. The concrete expansion project include:
• Kaohsiung factory of poly (butylene terephthalate) composite production from 14,000 tons up to 35,000 tons per year. The expansion is scheduled to be completed in January next year.
• Jiangsu Nantong PTM Engineering Plastics (Nantong) Co., Ltd. production base to build a compounding plant. The plant will composite production acetal, PBT, PPS and liquid crystal polymer materials.
The Nantong plant annual capacity of 9,000 tons, will be put into operation in the autumn of 2013.
Polyplastics said the current global annual acetal demand of about 90 million tons, of which more than 50% of the supply Asian markets. Expected Asian demand growth will be 4-8% a year, to keep pace with the global annual growth rate of about 4-8%.
